Summary
Comments keep the conversation about a piece of work on the task itself. Everyone who opens the task sees the discussion in order, next to the assignee, due date, and project details.
Step-by-step guide
Step 1
Open the task
Click the task's name in **My tasks** on your Home page, or in any project list. The task opens in a details pane showing its assignee, due date, and projects.
Step 2
Click the comment box
Scroll to the bottom of the task details and click **Add a comment or @mention a teammate** to start writing.
Step 3
Write your comment
Type your message in the box. Type @ followed by a name to mention a teammate so they get notified about your comment.
Step 4
Post the comment
Click the **Comment** arrow at the bottom right of the box. The button stays greyed out until you have typed something.
Step 5
Check your comment in the task
Your comment now shows under **Comments**, with your name and how long ago it was posted, below the task's earlier activity.
Why this matters
You have reviewed a teammate's deliverable and need to send feedback without losing it in chat. A comment on the task keeps your note next to the work, notifies anyone you mention, and leaves a record the whole team can follow later.
