Common questions about recording, editing, sharing, and measuring interactive demos with Arclet — answered without jargon.
Getting started
How do I create my first demo?
Install the Arclet Chrome extension, open your product in Chrome, click record, and walk through the workflow. The demo appears in your library when you stop recording.
Record demos →How long does it take to publish a first demo?
Most teams publish their first demo in the same session as recording — often under five minutes.
Do paid plans require a credit card to start?
No. You can start on the Free plan without a credit card, then upgrade to Starter or Team when you need more.

What does Arclet capture?
Click interactions and screen states from any Chrome browser tab. Each interaction becomes a discrete step in the final interactive demo.
Record demos feature →Which browsers does the extension support?
Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.
Browser extension →Can I record any browser-based product?
Yes. If it runs in Chrome, you can record it.
Does Arclet record audio or video?
No. Arclet captures screen states and interactions, keeping demos lightweight and easy to embed anywhere.
Editing
Can I edit tooltip text after recording?
Yes. The editor gives you direct access to the copy on every step at any point, before or after publishing.
Edit and personalize →How do I hide sensitive data?
Use the blur tool in the editor to select a region on any step. The blur is applied in the published player; the original screenshot is preserved in the editor.
Edit and personalize →Can I remove or reorder steps?
Yes. Steps can be deleted or reordered in the editor. Adding new steps requires a new partial recording.
Does editing change the original recording?
No. Edits are non-destructive — the original captured screenshots are preserved.
Sharing and embedding
Where can I embed a demo?
Anywhere that accepts an HTML iframe snippet — landing pages, help articles, onboarding platforms, or any CMS.
Share and embed →Can I update the demo after sharing the link?
Yes. The public link remains stable. Edits you make appear automatically for anyone who opens it.
Can I control who sees the demo?
Published demos are public by default. Access control is on the product roadmap.
Analytics
What engagement data does Arclet track?
Step completion rates, time spent per step, total views, and viewer session data.
Track engagement →Which plan includes analytics?
Basic analytics are on all plans. Step-level engagement detail is on Starter and Team.
Pricing plans →Does tracking require viewers to log in?
No. Arclet tracks anonymous session data for public links.
