At a glance

Which kind of product demo should you build?

Match the format to the moment in the sales cycle. A click-through demo, a narrated video, a sandbox, and a live call each answer a different question, and most of these tools lead with one.

  • Before the first call, on your website: Arclet or Storylane
  • On the call, live in your product: Reprise or Consensus
  • After the call, a narrated explainer to forward: Guidde or Arcade
  • Deep evaluation, a sandbox the buyer explores alone: Navattic or Supademo

Research and trust

Two of the eight, Consensus and Reprise, publish no price, so the cost table shows their pricing model instead of a guess. Where a price is published, the table compares it on the same seat count and billing interval.

It names the sales-cycle moment it’s built for

The vendor’s own positioning says whether it’s a pre-call website demo, a live-call platform, or a post-call leave-behind, so you’re not guessing from a feature list.

It’s clear whether the output is interactive or a video

Some tools produce a click-through demo the viewer navigates themselves; others produce a video file the viewer watches start to finish. A few, like Arcade and Storylane, do both from one capture.

The pricing model is public

Every vendor either publishes a price or names how it prices, so a shortlist doesn’t stall waiting on a sales call to find out.

Product demo tools, by the moment they cover

The table tells you what each tool is. This section tells you when to pick it and when to walk away.

Arcade

Pick it if one recording needs to produce both a click-through demo and a short narrated video, and you want branching, CTAs, and MP4/GIF export once you’re on Growth.

Look elsewhere if you’re past a handful of demos a month; Free’s one-demo, one-video cap and 200 monthly credits run out fast.

Arclet

Pick it if your buyer needs to see the product before or after a call without booking time with a rep, and you want the same recording to cover both moments.

Look elsewhere if prospects need to explore a working environment on their own, or a rep needs to show real customer data inside the live product on a call.

Consensus

Pick it if presales wants one vendor for interactive tours, on-demand video, and live demos with real-time data injection, plus integrations for Salesforce, HubSpot, and Gong already built.

Look elsewhere if you need a number before the first internal budget conversation; pricing routes through a sales call and no tier names or amounts are public.

Guidde

Pick it if your buyer wants to watch a narrated walkthrough end to end, and you want the same recording exportable to a PPT or PDF for a deck.

Look elsewhere if you want a demo a prospect clicks through at their own pace; Guidde’s output is a video someone watches, not a guided click-through.

Navattic

Pick it if marketing wants a demo embedded on the website before any sales call, and a path to add sandbox demos and account identification later without switching tools.

Look elsewhere if one person builds demos alone; Base bundles five seats and Navattic doesn’t publish a Startup seat price for a smaller team.

Reprise

Pick it if one presales team needs all three demo types under one platform, a guided capture for reps, a cloned sandbox for events, and a live overlay for calls with real prospect data.

Look elsewhere if you need just one of those three jobs and don’t want an annual platform fee stacked on top of per-user licenses.

Storylane

Pick it if you want lead capture and basic analytics before paying anything, and AI voiceovers to turn a click-through demo into something closer to a narrated one.

Look elsewhere if you need more than one demo live at once; Free caps at a single published demo running at a time.

Supademo

Pick it if you want a click-through demo and a straight screen recording from the same tool, and don’t want to commit to one format upfront.

Look elsewhere if you need guided HTML or sandbox demos; those sit on Growth and Enterprise, not Free or Scale.

Arclet: the click-through demo for before and after the call

Most buyers want to see the product before they’ll book a call, and most champions want something to forward after it. A click-through demo does both jobs: put it on the website for the first look, then send the same link after the call so a champion can walk their boss through it without you in the room.

Record the workflow in Chrome, edit the steps, and share a link or embed. Viewers don’t need an account. Free covers one creator and five published demos. Starter is $29 a month for unlimited demos, and Team is $79 a month for two creators.

Start for free

Open a demo and edit a step.

Click through opening an Arclet demo and editing one of its steps. The frames show editing inside Arclet, not a sandbox, a live-product overlay, or a narrated video.

Pick by the job the demo has to do

Start from the moment in the sales cycle you need to cover, then shortlist two tools that lead with it.

The homepage demo before a call

Buyers want to see the product before they’ll talk to anyone. Arclet and Storylane both start free, so one person can put the first demo live today.

The live discovery call

Reps show the same first-call tour on repeat. Reprise Reveal overlays real data on the live product, and Consensus adds analytics across every live demo a team runs.

The forwarded explainer

A champion needs to sell internally without you in the room. Guidde’s narrated video plays start to finish from a shareable link, and Arcade adds the same from a capture that’s already an interactive demo too.

The proof-of-concept a buyer explores alone

Security review is still weeks out and the buyer wants to click around unsupervised. Navattic includes sandbox demos on Base and Supademo on Growth, and Reprise Replicate runs a copy of your app apart from production.
