Research and trust

Walnut and Storylane count seats differently, so their pricing pages don’t line up. Start with who does what. Walnut splits Editor and Presenter seats, so count who builds demos and who only presents them, and ask Walnut what an extra seat of each costs. Then build a demo of your own product in both trials and hand it to someone who presents on calls. How it holds up live matters more than the seat math.

How Walnut and Storylane differ

Walnut

Walnut fits sales teams that personalize a demo for each deal. Walnut describes its product as AI that generates, personalizes and maintains demos and deal rooms, guided by the seller. It captures live product pages as editable HTML and supports personalization, lead forms, playlists and funnel reporting.

Ignite is $575 a month billed annually with three Editor and three Presenter seats, 50,000 AI credits a year, unlimited demos, AI Mode, analytics and CRM sync. Accelerate is $1,550 a month billed annually with six of each, sandbox demos, SSO and white label. Credits pause at 100%, with optional top-ups at $0.015 each.

Storylane

Storylane fits teams that want HTML demos without committing to a year. Storylane positions its product around turning buyers into pipeline with demos and AI SDRs. Free keeps one demo live at a time with lead capture, and Starter is $50 per seat a month, or $40 billed annually.

HTML editing is on Demo Suite Growth, at $625 a month, or $500 billed annually, for five seats, with A/B testing and 2,500 Account Reveal identifications a month. Premium adds Salesforce, SSO, white label, offline demos and deal intelligence for ten seats.

Which one to choose

The split is who runs the demo.

Choose Walnut if…

Your sellers run demos inside live deals and need personalization and CRM sync, and annual billing suits your budget. Ignite is $575 a month billed annually.

Choose Storylane if…

You want to pay monthly, start free, or give five people HTML editing for $500 a month billed annually. Premium adds Salesforce and white label at ten seats.

For demos your sellers present live

A rep walks the buyer through the product on a call and tailors it to the account. Walnut sells Presenter seats separately from Editor seats, and Ignite includes three of each.

For demos buyers explore on their own

The demo sits on your site or in an email. Storylane captures leads from its free plan and identifies accounts from Starter. Walnut supports lead forms and iframe embeds.

For a team that needs SSO

Walnut includes SSO and SCIM on Accelerate, $1,550 a month billed annually. Storylane lists SSO on Premium, $1,500 a month or $1,200 billed annually.

If neither fits

Need a demo on your site this week, not a platform contract? That’s Arclet. Arclet Free gives one creator five published demos with unlimited views. Starter is $29 a month, or $25 billed annually, for unlimited published demos and branding removal. Team is $79 a month, or $69 billed annually, with two creators, and both paid plans bill monthly or annually.

Arclet builds guided demos from the Chrome extension, and viewers open them without logging in. Arclet has no personalization or live presenting, and HTML capture isn’t generally available yet, so a presales team that needs those should stay with Walnut or Storylane.
